WE SPEAK IN RHYTHM
Audience participation plays a key role in this 45 minute performance about freedom, knowledge, and the importance of staying in school. Students are encouraged to take a poignant look at the African American experience through poetry, drama and dance and the fundemental role that artistic expression has played in shaping the lives of African Americans and Americas's rich cultural heritage.

STORY TELLING (solo performance)
Traditional stories come through the imaginative style of the founder and director of JUSTUS. Presentations can be designed to fit the needs of your audience.

JUSTUS SISTAS' (group performance)
This unique performance demonstrates the rich heritage and experiences of African American Women and celebrtates their contribution to society. Audiences gain a richer understanding of the power of literature and the women who move us.

POETIC KWANZAA (solo performance)
A holiday presentation developed for educational entertainment. Poetic Kwanzaa celebrates African American heritage and demonstrates a traditional activity. Ideal community involvement presentation.

WORKSHOPS AND RESIDENCY PROGRAMS
Drama, Poetry, Writing & Dance individually, or all together developed to increase self esteem, self image, community pride, cultural awareness, and youth involvement.

JUSTUS PLAYAZ'
Various collections of performance materials, presented by youth participants of JUSTUS workshops. Originally developed during Gallery 37, Chicago Park District and JUSTUS collaborative, JUSTUS PlayaZ', recruits youth from communities throughout Chicago to participate in Playaz' presentations.

WORD JAZZ (performance or workshop 3-7-12wks)
This creative writing program helps participants uncover the "music" of their words by focusing on rhythm and delivery, they will develop stories, poetry and interviews for the JUSTUS WORD newsletter, as well as drama scenes for live presentation.

HEALTH and BEAUTY
Targeted participants are intorduced to a variety of guest artists who will guide them through activities designed to increase self esteem, image and quality of life by improving their hygiene. This workshop includes HIV and AIDS awareness activities and lectures.
